A LUMINOUS CHRISTMAS MARKET

Candles Market:
Main protagonists of the event are candles and high level Christmas arts and crafts;
Food area:
There will be characteristic stalls selling delicious food and local specialities such as fried apples, hot chestnuts, mulled wine, crêpes with nutella, hot chocolate, “bomboloni” filled with nutella and custard cream, polenta with “vin cotto”, carbonara polenta, barbecue, dried salted cod with potatoes, new wine.
Entertainment area:
- Street artists (every day),
- The Court Jester Mauro Taccaliti (every day),
- “Ensemble musicale”, soprano, violin, contrabass: Christmas atmosphere music and songs (S. Lucia Church on Friday 8th at 7 p.m.),
- Santa Claus band, with a laden gift sledge (every afternoon),
- Bagpipes and pipers (every day),
- Christmas Carrols (S. Lucia Church) with the polyphonic choir Jubilate,
- Music with “zampogna” and “ciaramella”,
- Music with “piva” and little flute,
- Saint Lucy procession (Swedish tradition): about 20 girls with little candles crowns (just on Sunday),
- Living crib performed by the local primary school children, together with ancient crafts, animals and a real camel (on Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m.),
- Guided visit at Villa Berloni every day from 10 to 1 a.m. (booking request),
- Guided visit at “Pieve” (ancient country church) every evening, on Saturday 9th in the morning too (booking request),
- Classical Music Concert with the winners of young musicians competition “Candelara 2006” (S. Lucia Church at 5 p.m.) on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th at 7 p.m.
Just Candle light:
A magic atmosphere to live every evening from 5,30 to 6 p.m. (without electric lightning and with special background music).
Dedicated to Children:
- Farm animals: donkey, horses, cow, camel, sheep, little goats and poultry (within the living crib area);
- Ride a pony - a tour on the gig;
- Stroke the camel - coming directly from the desert everybody will be able to admire a camel;
- Live the crib - the first approach to ancient crafts under the guide of experts;
- Christmas stories with tree Fairies (every day in the afternoon);
- Send a letter to Santa “through the air” – every child will be able to send a letter to the real Santa Claus. They can tie it on to an helium balloon (just on Friday 8th and on Sunday 10th from 2 to 4 p.m.)
Entrance to the celebration has a symbolic cost of 1 euro.
AMI Free Shuttle Bus: a free shuttle bus links the town of Pesaro and the camper-van parking area (cinque torri) with Candelara.
